Out of Hunger

The 2026 TABOOH Summer Meals program was a success, with over 25,000 meals prepared, packed, and served over eight weeks. Check out our feature in the Valley News, linked here. Our initial projections were based on early estimates, but our impact report (below) still reflects increases each year!

The Take a Bite Out of Hunger Summer Meals Program, a large part of the Hartford Community Coalition’s summer focus, provides free breakfasts and lunches Monday-Friday during the summer months for children throughout the Upper Valley. 

TABOOH is possible due to hundreds of volunteer hours and numerous collaborations with our local libraries, schools, community groups, Hartford Parks & Rec, the White River Rotary, and employees at local businesses.

This effort was made possible with the help of 76 volunteers, and one exceptional youth volunteer who spent over 50 hours of his summer vacation helping out. Watch our volunteer appreciation video, linked here.
