Meet the Team

EMILY ZANLEONI

Executive Director

Emily has been the Executive Director since 2020, when HCC received Federal funding through a Drug-Free Communities Grant. Previous to 2020, Em was a member of the HCC Board for about 6 years and the lead organizer of the Annual Block Party.

FROM EMILY: I care deeply about my community and especially our kids. I had been working in early prevention and intervention as a mental health provider embedded in a local high school and moving to community prevention seemed like a logical next/side-step. I feel grateful for the opportunity to be able to support our schools, businesses and organizations toward the cause of creating a more healthy, resilient Hartford. I do feel we make a difference with the work and that really means something to me. I hope HCC continues to thrive and grow and that our schools, community members, businesses and local organizations will continue to include HCC as we build a more stable, resilient and graceful community. In my life outside of HCC, I’m a mom and a wife and those things take a lot of my time! I also enjoy singing throughout VT & NH with both my acoustic guitar player Nat Williams and full band The Party Crashers.

KELLY CLEMENTS

Program Director

Kelly Clements is the Hartford Community Coalition’s Program Director. She has been in this role since 2021 and finds joy connecting and working with Hartford’s youth prevention groups as well as planning events like HCC’s Annual Summer Block Party. As a Certified Prevention Specialist with degrees in Nutrition and Public Health, she believes that upstream substance use prevention and mental health education is a powerful tool for promoting health and wellbeing, not to mention a huge savings in public cost burden. Prevention is wonderful because it plays a huge role in the lives of young people but also positively impacts folks at any point in their life cycle. She loves connecting with the friendly and familiar faces of fellow prevention rockstars through Prevention Works!

Kelly lives in Thetford in a very old house with her husband, toddler, and dog. When not working for HCC, she runs her needlepoint business, Alice & Blue.

KEISHA DESNOYERS

Projects Director

I started working for HCC as an internship for my Bachelor’s degree program at Colby-Sawyer. I had an idea of the kind of work I wanted to do, but it wasn’t until this internship that I was sure. As a mom, longtime Hartford resident, and proud daughter of a parent in recovery, I feel strongly about the importance of prevention, especially in rural towns. I enjoy working with youth of all ages and doing what I can to give back to the Hartford community.
In my free time I listen to audiobooks, take mini road trips around New England, play with my dog, and spend time with my son.
