BARBARA FARNSWORTH
Barbara Farnsworth is a Population Health professional currently serving as the Director of Community Health Partnerships at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC.) Barbara is deeply committed to dedicating her enthusiasm for community health to enhance the safety and well-being of her neighbors.
Beyond her contributions at DHMC, Ms. Farnsworth has served as a Guardian ad Litem in Vermont and she is currently a board member for the Hartford Community Coalition and the Good Neighbor Health Clinic. Additionally, she serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Hampshire.
SARAH MEKOS
Sarah Mekos is a lifelong resident of the Upper Valley with two kiddos in the Hartford school district and in the Lebanon school district with ages ranging from small to tall. As a person who was raised in the Hartford area during a very important time in her upbringing and who struggled immensely with Substance Use Disorder and Alcoholism by the time she was a young adult, she feels very strongly about being the loudest advocate for a safer, cleaner more fun area to live and raise our families in. That is why Sarah proudly sits and serves on the Board of HCC. She believes in HCC’s mission to help provide safer alternative activities for our youth, whether they are visibly “at risk” or appear to be doing great! When boredom sets in, humans seek a way to be entertained. HCC provides that and much more to all our families and neighbors.
RUSSELL NORTH
World’s most interesting CPA, small business owner and single father of 4 of the greatest children in the world. My interest in serving on the board relates to personal tragedy involving mental health issues, concern about youth mental health and drug abuse issues. Outside interests include; woodworking, the Boston Red Sox, and restoration of classic VWs.
ELLA HARPER-SCHIEHL
Ella works with the VT Department of Health in White River Junction as a Substance Misuse Prevention Consultant. In her role, she supports community partners and organizations in their work across the substance use continuum of care, throughout the lifespan.
Outside of her work, she enjoys starting (but never finishing) knitting projects, baking, working on absurdly difficult puzzles, and cuddling with her very needy cat.
KELLY FRENCH
Kelly French has served young children and families for the last 20 years at The Family Place as the Children’s Integrated Services (CIS) Early Intervention Program Supervisor and CIS Strong Families Responsive Nurse. Kelly is passionate about serving her community and supporting the healthy growth and wellbeing of families with young children. Kelly lives in Quechee with her partner, Matt, and daughter, Ruby.
SHERRY DUBE
Sherry has lived in Wilder for over twenty years. Professionally, she is an Administrative Assistant at Dartmouth College. With her can-do attitude and organizational skills, she is a tremendous help with the HCC Block Party.
She joined HCC to help foster a secure environment where children and neighbors can thrive and feel safe. And to know there are resources out there.
NIKITA WILSON
As a returning resident of the White River Junction community, Nikita is honored to serve as a board member for HCC. Returning to this small town has given her a deep appreciation for the people and connections that make it special. She joined the board to give back to the community that shaped her and to help strengthen opportunities for our youth. With many years of experience working in the nonprofit sector, Nikita brings both professional insight and a personal commitment to service. She is passionate about bridging connections within our community and dedicating her time to support the important work HCC does every day.
