What a year 2025 was for HCC! Community and connection were truly at the forefront.
We co-led four different prevention groups at Hartford schools. Some of these students not only attended but presented at three state-level conference and one national prevention conference, speaking about the benefits of prevention to Bernie Sanders, Becca Balint, and Peter Welch.
Both Project Graduation and the 10th Annual Block Party had record levels of attendance.
Over 900 hours of volunteer time during the TABOOH summer meals program allowed us to deliver over 22,000 meals to 535 local youth.
In 2024, HCC took some time to talk with our partners, community, and board members to check in and tune up our mission and vision for the next 3-5 years. This process allowed us to narrow down our areas of focus and gain even more clarity around our future work.
HCC’s overall goals have not changed, and we remain committed to reducing the stigma and impact of substance use, food insecurity, and mental health in Harford.
